Ok in this guide im going to explain to you how to raise your mining and smithing levels. They are both pretty self explanitory skills but for those who may not know how to do it ill explain it. First off you need to use the "skill teleport" teleport spell located in your spellbook. Once there walk west and go in the first building and talk to Bob once you talk to them the skilling shop will open on your screen. You will have to start off with an iron pickaxe until you are level 41 mining then you can drop it and be able to use a rune pickaxe. While your in that shop buy a hammer because you will need that in order to smith. Once you have the iron pickaxe you are ready to mine the rocks. The list below is as follows, rock-# of spaces from the far right(addy ore) it is-level needed-xp given.
copper-5 spaces from the right-1-630 xp
tin-4 spaces from the right-1-630 xp
iron-3 spaces from the right-15-1,225 xp
coal-2 spaces from the right-30-1,750 xp
mithril-1 space from the right-55-2,800 xp
adamantite-the far right rock-70-3,325 xp
runeite-6 spaces from the right(the far left rock)-85-4,375 xp

Ok this second part of my guide will explain smithing. To smith you will need bars which you can make from combining certain ores with other certian ores by using the furnace. The furnace's location is the far east part of the skilling area. The list below tells what ores you must mine together to get what bar. The guideline this list follows is: bar:ore1-amount needed::ore2-amount needed-xp given.
bronze bar:copper ore-1::tin ore-1-210 xp
iron bar:iron ore::none-none-455 xp
steel bar:iron ore::none-none-630 xp
mithril bar:mithril ore::none-none-1,050 xp
adamant bar:adamantite ore::none-none-1,330 xp
runite bar:runite ore::none-none-1,750 xp
Once you have the bars you can head over to the anvil which is located right next to the rocks you mined to get the ores. Click the anvil with a hammer and an inventory of the best bars you can smith in your inventory. I personally suggest making platebodys because they give the most xp however they use the most amount of bars. The list below follows the guideline: item-level needed-bars needed-xp given.
